​Beta Alpha Psi is an international honorary organization for accounting students and professionals. The Epsilon Kappa Chapter at Appalachian State was chartered in 1978 and became the 125th chapter. Our primary goal is to recognize scholastic and professional excellence in the field of business.

Mission

The mission of Beta Alpha Psi is to inspire and support excellence by:

  • encouraging the study and practice of accountancy, finance, areas related to business analytics or digital technology;
  • providing opportunities for service, professional development, and interaction among members and financial professionals; and
  • fostering lifelong ethical, social, and public responsibilities. 


I wanted to share my experience with you regarding BAP. I had plenty of offers lined up and ultimately my decision was 100% BAP’s power to get the firms’ attention. I literally got the industry I wanted, the team I wanted, and two internship offers from one firm [and two other offers], and it was because I was in BAP and was a very successful student …. any successful Junior accounting student would be out of their mind to not join.
